Support Notification Channels Specific to Application
(Agile User story-like:)
As a user of Pushover on Android, I need the ability to receive notifications with custom: sounds, priorities, vibrations, and lock screen visibility settings specific to each Pushover "Application" so I can have a better understanding of what notification needs my immediate attention or not.
This can be fairly easily (namely minimal testing needed) implemented into the existing Android app. An Application could have a different Notification Channel for each Application and Pushover Priority level. But these can be created in real-time, in advance, or by user selection.
For example, Google Messages on Android allows a user

Updatable notifications
One useful feature would be updatable notifications. When processing alerts from CCTV you might have an initial "something's happening" alert, which would then be followed some time later by an image which might get refined to a more accurate image or video a bit later.
Having Pushover accept all of these notifications but instead of creating individual alerts, it could update the original notification to include the additional data as it arrives would be a useful feature. This could be done by supplying an optional, unique notification ID in the API call which would identify that subsequent follow-up messages are

Android Pushover App without Google Play Services (Websockets instead)
Hi, It would be great if the PushOver app for Android did not require Google Play services to run. When using custom ROMs like GrapheneOS, Lineage or similar privacy focused ROMs, the Google Play services are either not present or installed without network permission (Play services are deliberately signalled as offline). It would be great if the Android PushOver app could use the already available websocket itself as an alternative or fallback on such devices to register a new device and receive the notifications.

More Than 1 Base URL
Allow more than 1 URL as the base URL. My app runs both on the internet or intranet, and users on each would be using a different URL. Let the PHP page decide which to send as the success/failure URL. I would like my app to be able to use https://domain.com as well as http://website.local on my intranet.

make it optionally to copy the text AND title
I use the copy button very often, but I have to delete the title after inserting.
Or I mark and copy just the text, but that’s often tricky.
so I’m really looking forward to select what the copy button copies.

Add opt-in telemetry for service degradation warnings
After a client opts-in, whenever a notification was received, it would notify YOU that the client received it. This would allow you know in real time that notification delivery for a specific carrier or in a specific region was slow or even non-functional based on a timeout on acknowledgement. You could then proactively warn enterprise customers about a service degradation and otherwise make that information available to non-enterprise end-users.
Background: I was really confused as to why certain work flows were broken and after wasting a lot of time investigating, figured out that AT&T in my area had extremely high

Snooze notifications on Apple Watch
Hi there, i think it would be great if you could add the ability to snooze notifications (for example 5 minutes, half an our, or 1 our) directly from your Apple Watch. I've seen this been implemented on my Ring doorbell in the past, so it seems to be a somewhat standard feature that could be implemented.
Like to hear your thoughts on that if it could be implemented. Thank you, Robin

Bring back the Applications list with message counts
The Applications view on iPhone used to show all apps sorted alphabetically with number of messages next to each app name. This was perfect. Now, after updating to the latest version, I see no message counts, each app row takes more space because it shows a preview of the last message received, and the apps are no longer sorted alphabetically. This is a useless mess. And I could not find an option in settings that would let me to switch back to the old view.

Reduced Repeat Interval
Currently, the minimum interval for repeat notifications is 30 seconds. I would like to use Pushover to wake me up using the Apple Watch when a notification comes in, and for this to work, the interval needs to be smaller. Could it be reduced to something shorter, like five seconds? It should take minimal coding to change the lowest available interval.

Configure inactive device limit
Can I configure the inactive device limit for Android? I very infrequently get notifications, but they are for critical problems. We had a power failure yesterday and I didn't get a notification. When I checked the pushover account logs it states:
I want to turn this function off or raise the limit to something like 2 years as a workaround.
Thanks

Request for Synology package or webhook integration
It would be great if you could build a Synology package for Pushover integration in DSM 7. https://help.synology.com/developer-guide/
Alternatively, DSM supports webhooks if you could build support for that.

Turn images off in messagelist
I would like to have the option to turn images off in the messagelist and only show the image in messageview.

Use full width for the content in list view just like detail view
Currently on iOS, it is good that when I click into a notification, the content will take up the full 100% width. But when I go back out to the list view, it is only taking most part of the screen width becasue the APP icon is taking up its own column which is huge waste of screen realestate.
Will recommend to wrap the text underneatch the APP icon.

New Apps View: Source last message summary should optionally include message title
The New App View (at least in iOS) has a Applications pane which lists the Applications and a summary of the last message body.
I propose to make the last message summary
- include the message title, if there are varying titles,
- or configurable to include the title,
- or include the the title is not the same as the app name.
Background: I have apps there like "Uptime Robot" which always has the message title "Uptime Robot" (same as app title, no variations), there it makes sense to have the Applications pane be like "<Application>" "<Last Message>".
However I have also

geo location aware messages
Support setting geo locations (coordinates & radius) on a message. The message should only be shown by pushover app if the phone is currently located within the given geo location. If the app is not allowed to get geo location information then the message shouldn't be shown at all.
Why? Sometimes there are legal reasons which bind messages to a location like the alerting system of a voluntary fire brigade. In my case we don't use pushover as a replacement but as an addon to the currently used alerting technique which is geo located by design. But if you are

Android: Close notification after opening URL
When I tap a URL in a notification, it would be nice if the notification would close automatically.
Thanks.

Acknowledge emergency notifications via android actionable notifications
On the android app, whenever a emergency notification is triggered, can the notification include a actionable thing to click on the acknowledge it. Currently you need to open the app and acknowledge it on the app which is a bit cumbersome.
Eg. On gmail notification, there is action directly on the notification such as Archive or Reply https://imgur.com/a/Ku4TBaY

New API option - badge control?
It would be great to have control over whether or not a notification increases the Pushover badge count (on iOS).
There are some notifications I get where I want to increase the badge count (the current behavior), but most I don't want to. Perhaps this could be tied in with the existing priority field?
I believe this is possible based on the Apple notification documentation.

FaceID / password protection for iOS app
Are there any plans to add FaceID verification / password protection to the IOS app?
