Use full width for the content in list view just like detail view
Currently on iOS, it is good that when I click into a notification, the content will take up the full 100% width. But when I go back out to the list view, it is only taking most part of the screen width becasue the APP icon is taking up its own column which is huge waste of screen realestate.
Will recommend to wrap the text underneatch the APP icon.

New Apps View: Source last message summary should optionally include message title
The New App View (at least in iOS) has a Applications pane which lists the Applications and a summary of the last message body.
I propose to make the last message summary
- include the message title, if there are varying titles,
- or configurable to include the title,
- or include the the title is not the same as the app name.
Background: I have apps there like "Uptime Robot" which always has the message title "Uptime Robot" (same as app title, no variations), there it makes sense to have the Applications pane be like "<Application>" "<Last Message>".
However I have also

geo location aware messages
Support setting geo locations (coordinates & radius) on a message. The message should only be shown by pushover app if the phone is currently located within the given geo location. If the app is not allowed to get geo location information then the message shouldn't be shown at all.
Why? Sometimes there are legal reasons which bind messages to a location like the alerting system of a voluntary fire brigade. In my case we don't use pushover as a replacement but as an addon to the currently used alerting technique which is geo located by design. But if you are

Android: Close notification after opening URL
When I tap a URL in a notification, it would be nice if the notification would close automatically.
Thanks.

Acknowledge emergency notifications via android actionable notifications
On the android app, whenever a emergency notification is triggered, can the notification include a actionable thing to click on the acknowledge it. Currently you need to open the app and acknowledge it on the app which is a bit cumbersome.
Eg. On gmail notification, there is action directly on the notification such as Archive or Reply https://imgur.com/a/Ku4TBaY

New API option - badge control?
It would be great to have control over whether or not a notification increases the Pushover badge count (on iOS).
There are some notifications I get where I want to increase the badge count (the current behavior), but most I don't want to. Perhaps this could be tied in with the existing priority field?
I believe this is possible based on the Apple notification documentation.

Are there any plans to add FaceID verification / password protection to the IOS app?

vbscript for sending pushover notifications
Hey All,
I was looking for a way to send pushover notifications from VB script and couldn't find a way online to send notifications with Windows native scripting. The example code on Pushover.net has Powershell script and an example using a third party curl program, neither of which worked for what I wanted to do.
After a bit of futzing around with the code, I came up with this working example.
Note: I offer no assurances or guarantees on this, and I'm not the guy you want to debug this code if something doesn't work. In other words, I'm not

wsdl support
Hi team,
do you have a wsdl URI for your API? I'd need one to connect an app

Let us set custom app icons for notifications please
It would be cool, and it’s doable since some other apps let’s you do that

Vibration for high priority alerts only
It would be very helpful for me to be able to get vibrations on high priority alerts when in do not distrub mode. There is currently the option to treat high priority as an alarm but this can be very disruptive if I am in a meeting. I could switch on vibration for all alerts but I get many normal priority alerts. I need some way to respond to high priority alerts without the phone creating a loud noise

show title instead of first line message when notification is not extended
possibility to show only the title instead of the first line (or more) of the content when the notificaiton is not extended. In order to see the title completely

Support for deduplication keys
I'd love to see dedup key support added.
The idea being that if multiple souces send the same notification, only the first source to call the API with a configurable time window will trigger a notification because all source share the same deduplication key.
For example, when multiple redundant monitoring systems are the souces of an notification for the same event (like a host goes down), only the first source to report the event triggers a notification, and all subsequent sources sharing the same dedup key for that event will be dropped.

Increase attachment size.
I love using Pushover with my Reolink cameras but with a max of 2.5mb attachment size, I can't use the app with my Duo 2. The Duo 2 is basically two cameras in one so the file size is around 5mb. Not sure if the actual image size is an issue or not, but just incase, mine are 4096x1536.
I have seen other people on reddit have the same issue with the newer 12mp cameras too so I am sure they would also like the change.

Please add a delete all stored notifications from an application.
Occasionally from a device I don't use often, when I open it, it tries to sync 10s of thousands of old messages even though message retention is only set to 250 on that device. The app crashes due to this high volume of syncing. The only fix is to uninstall the Pushover app completely on that device and reinstall. It would be nice to be able to purge all notifications from an application instead.

Per-project (application) default sound
Currently, on iOS (at least) you can only set the default sound for the whole Pushover app, but not the individual application channels within it. Eg. I have a few apps and would like each to have a default unique sound (from the default list). I know I can configure this in the code when sending the notification, but it would have been MUCH easier to do this directly in the mobile app.
I've been a user and a customer for many years and feel this pain with each new app I add :)

Add the ability to send push notifications on apps in local area network, when there isn’t access to internet
On iOS there is https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2020/10113/
On Android, others users MQTT protocol.

Implement End-to-end encryption
Currently, pushover stores messages in plaintext format, but it seems they are encrypted prior to being sent to apple/android pus services. This means that messages can be intercepted should pushover be breached, or where pushover staff act maliciously (to be clear, it’s the possibility that it could happen which is an issue, I am not saying pushover staff are untrustworthy).
I would like the ability to encrypt messages prior to sending them to pushover, that way the above scenarios would be solved provided the secret is not shared with pushover.

Increase the Character Limit.
I use Make.com and I am limited to 1024 characters. This means I am limited in the information I can send myself. Some URLs created, which I turn into easy link via HTML can take up a lof of those characters.
