Per-project (application) default sound
Currently, on iOS (at least) you can only set the default sound for the whole Pushover app, but not the individual application channels within it. Eg. I have a few apps and would like each to have a default unique sound (from the default list). I know I can configure this in the code when sending the notification, but it would have been MUCH easier to do this directly in the mobile app.
I've been a user and a customer for many years and feel this pain with each new app I add :)

Add the ability to send push notifications on apps in local area network, when there isn’t access to internet
On iOS there is https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2020/10113/
On Android, others users MQTT protocol.

Implement End-to-end encryption
Currently, pushover stores messages in plaintext format, but it seems they are encrypted prior to being sent to apple/android pus services. This means that messages can be intercepted should pushover be breached, or where pushover staff act maliciously (to be clear, it’s the possibility that it could happen which is an issue, I am not saying pushover staff are untrustworthy).
I would like the ability to encrypt messages prior to sending them to pushover, that way the above scenarios would be solved provided the secret is not shared with pushover.

Increase the Character Limit.
I use Make.com and I am limited to 1024 characters. This means I am limited in the information I can send myself. Some URLs created, which I turn into easy link via HTML can take up a lof of those characters.

Actionable notifications
A similar request (same subject) was declined in past because of missing support in iOS, but it seems to be possible to implement in iOS now.
I came across other 2 competing apps that support this functionality also on iOS, I also tested that. It is possible to add multiple action buttons in notification with custom names. These actions may call URL or make a HTTP request (e.g. POST request). Unfortunately Pushover misses this functionality (probably only this one, I have no other reasons to go with competitors).
Would you check it please, it seems it is now possible to

Widget optimized for content
I receive many messages from my smart home and its annoying that valuable space ist wasted on top and left of the widget.
So I would really like to have two options:
1. Disabling the whole header
2. Disabling Pushover symbol in front of every message
Nevertheless Pushover is a great App that I used over years and many Android versions.

Multiple percent complications, not just one
I would love to have multiple different complications, not just these:
- title (100 characters) - a description of the data being shown, such as "Widgets Sold"
- text (100 characters) - the main line of data, used on most screens
- subtext (100 characters) - a second line of data
- count (integer, may be negative) - shown on smaller screens; useful for simple counts
- percent

Add option to reverse the notification order
If the android widget is on top of the screen, it would be useful for the stack to be reversed. So the newest notification is on the bottom of the widget.
-
Ability to set DND / quiet hours through the API
This would allow, for example, me to synchronize my DND status on iOS with DND status of Pushover service (through Shortcuts app).
-
message type that only can be read on the lock screen.. and will not be saved to app
message type that only can be read on the lock screen or pop up.. and will not be saved to app

Dismiss all emergency notifications via API
It would be great to be able to blanket send an api request to acknowledge all emergency priority notifications for an account that are currently active. The tags option is okay, but if something is sent via email gateway it doesn't look like there is a way to add tags to the messages and really I would just be adding the same tag to every message as a workaround.

Time zone offset for different countries
Please can this be added or set to auto detect time (time zone) on current iPhone or other device, my time stamps are currently 1 hour earlier than the actual push event.
-
Add Android Auto messaging support
I use Pushover to notify me of security events like my Garage door, front door, and storage being opened. It would be nice if they could appear in Android Auto and read out loud when I'm driving. I assume this would have to act like a messaging app in Android Auto, such as What'sApp, SMS etc.

Like to have individual icons
I'm a big fan with just a glance to see which message or what content the message is about. Individually adjustable icons for each message would help a lot. Makable?

A community forum to enhance the existing knowledge base.
A community-forum where members can share questions, advice, and solutions... to help others.
Support could monitor and open bugs if appropriate -- providing resolution-info for others to see.
This would add to the existing knowledge base as another support resource.

Customize custom sounds in Pushover clients
Its great that Pushover now supports customizing sounds https://pushover.net/api#sounds However, end-users should have the ability to override each of these sounds.
For example, I have a app that sends 4 types of notifications:
- Generic information (ding) - Alarm (buzz) - Healthy (yeah) - Unhealthy (sadtrombone) However, these are the sounds I favor so that I don't always have to pickup my phone. I can imagine that other users of my team want to play different sounds but currently they cannot customize this. If would be great if these custom sound id's could be overriden.

Allow user to select a delivery group during a web-based subscription flow
External services can implement web-based subscription flow (https://pushover.net/api/subscriptions#web) and use it as an user-friendly mechanism to create Pushover subscriptions and retrieve subscription keys. Users don't have to manually copy the keys around, which is great.
Unless I'm missing something, it looks like the web-based flow does not support delivery groups – the user cannot select what key (their user key or one of the delivery group keys) will be passed back to the external service. It would be great if this could be added, – we could then use the web-based subscription flow to also set up subscriptions to Pushover

Desktop app should allow getting notifcations in a small window on the lower right hand side of the screen
Instead of having the browser open and the pushover tab selected, getting instead notifications in a small window with just 1 line displayed would allow to continue normal activities on the screen.
