Customize custom sounds in Pushover clients
Its great that Pushover now supports customizing sounds https://pushover.net/api#sounds However, end-users should have the ability to override each of these sounds.
For example, I have a app that sends 4 types of notifications:
- Generic information (ding) - Alarm (buzz) - Healthy (yeah) - Unhealthy (sadtrombone) However, these are the sounds I favor so that I don't always have to pickup my phone. I can imagine that other users of my team want to play different sounds but currently they cannot customize this. If would be great if these custom sound id's could be overriden.

Play a sound from a URL
When creating a message through the API, can we specify a URL for the sound? eg. https://domain.com/media/sound1.mp3 Either this, or can we upload sounds to our account through the API? Use case examples: 1 • We then can use their own sound library 2 • We could then use a text to voice converter, save it as a mp3, then send the push notification. Resulting in reading the message out aloud. 3 • Clients could play whole songs as an alert using their own library 4.• Developers could dynamically merge a few short mp3 sounds into one mp3 before sending the message.

looping of sounds
I am trying to use Pushover to locate my Iphone if it is lost. I just learned about critical alerts, which allow me to play a sound on the iphone even if it is in vibrate, which is awesome. However, I would like to play a sound on loop until the phone is found. There appears to be an option to do this in pushover but there is a long delay between playing of a sound. Is there a way to just keep a sound going without delay between playing of the sound?

Attach an image via URL.
I use Pushover with Make.com so I cannot get a file path for an image. Only a URL. Being able to attach an image via URL will massively increase the ease of use for Pushover. At the moment I am looking at alternative services that allow notifications with Images via URLs

Increase the Character Limit.
I use Make.com and I am limited to 1024 characters. This means I am limited in the information I can send myself. Some URLs created, which I turn into easy link via HTML can take up a lof of those characters.

Add the ability to send push notifications on apps in local area network, when there isn’t access to internet
On iOS there is https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2020/10113/
On Android, others users MQTT protocol.

possibility to show only the title instead of the first line (or more) of the content when the notificaiton is not extended. In order to see the title completely

Let us set custom app icons for notifications please
It would be cool, and it’s doable since some other apps let’s you do that

Markdown Support
We do have some simple HTML styling options such as <b> <i>.
Since Markdown is pretty supported everywhere, I would love to be able to use Markdown to format Pushover notification messages, such as **bold** or *italic*. Pretty much the same styling options that we are using now with HTML just using Markdown.
Why? Some services do not support HTML styling of notifications (looking at you Grafana), but I would love to have styling or even better: hyperlinks.

Notification ability to undo delete
It would be nice to be able to undo deleted notification / message.

Better App Icon on IOS (like snapchat and messaging apps)
On IOS messaging apps have the capability of setting a custom icon.
Pushover should do this aswell instead of putting the custom icon in the other corner, very small and not easily noticeable.
Take a look at the image. We could have the custom image on big, and the pushover app icon on small!

GooleTV App
There are more and more Smart TVs, wouldn't it be great if there was a Pushover app for Google TV too?

"Select All" messages option in Android app
A "Select All" option would be very useful to select all messages.
The "Delete All" is sometimes not enough. I often find myself in the situation in which I want to keep certain important messages but delete all others. So I would "Select All", unselect the ones to keep, then apply the delete button.
It would be very much appreciated!

Filter function for the desktop version?

You already made this in the app, and its so helpful to find / filter notifications!
thanks a lot!

Button "Done"
Hello,
I want to use your services for a cooking squad who have to check when an order is arrived on Push Over and achieved.
As I see I can share the notification, delete it or copy it, but I need just a button "Done" like (that the notification will become green for example :)
actually when an order is achieved the squad member delete it, but we loose the order... :(
Do you think is it possible having the functionality ?
Thanks for your reply

Jump to the 'last new' message when in 'Track new/seen messages' mode
Hi,
I love the 'Track new/seen messages' mode, so I can see the split of what's new vs. what I saw before however still have it available for reference if needed.
A good-to-have feature would have it jump (or have a option to) the last 'new' message so you can work your way up to the latest message received.
That would beat the current workflow where it is necessary to scroll down from 'New Messages' to the heading of 'Messages' (which might be hard to find over hundreds of messages), stop, and then read up from there on.
Thanks!

Bold Notification Titles
Is it possible to have in the apps a bold notification title to differ the title from the body?

Correctly support RTL text in Android app
The Android app currently does not handle RTL languages such as Arabic in LTR context. I have included a screenshot as an example. As you can see, the order of text is completely messed up, and text alignment is incorrect.

Pushover Desktop - Auto-open URL's
I mostly use pushover to send URL's between my PC and my phone and vice versa. Would be great if the desktop client had an option to automatically open URL's received (or at the very least open the passed URL when tapping the notification).
