Google Play reports "This app is no longer compatible with your device" or "Your device isn't compatible with this version"

Some users have reported that when attempting to install the Pushover Android application from Google Play, they receive an error that the app is not compatible with their device, despite the application having been previously installed, or when installing on a mainstream Android device.  Pushover for Android is compatible with all Android devices running 6 or higher, as long as the device has a working version of Google Play Services.

This error can sometimes be resolved by clearing the local data stored in the Google Play application.  Open the main Settings app on the device, then tap on Applications, find Google Play Store, and tap on it.  Then tap the Storage menu option, then tap the Clear Data button.  Return to the previous screen showing the Google Play Store application, then tap Force Stop.  Locate the Pushover for Android application on Google Play again, and see whether the application is able to be installed.

If the error still persists, you may need to try other solutions or contact Google for support.
