Icon / Symbol for special messages

I would like to ask for a new option I would like to use with pushover.

i use pushover for my smarthome for receiving messages (e.g in or outside homezone, alarm system on off). But always getting a message in the startcenter ios is terrible... because u must click them away. Here is my idea:

Maybe u could integrate an option that this status is displayed as a continual tray icon next to the clock (e.g special icon for homezone on/off, ...) and not as an message in the startcenter, until another message arrives for disable that symbol again. For more flexibility u could give the users the option to use their own icons to react on arravial messages!

I have to agree with Pablo that it's a bit crazy that such a simple feature doesn't exist to this day. I'm guessing it has something to do with a lack of parity across OSes (namely iOS), but please, at least implement it for Android!

Having a custom Status Bar icon is essential... I use Pushover for so many things, and to simply see the "P" Pushover icon in my Status Bar for all of the different notifications is very.... Unhelpful.

To make matters worse, registering an application with Pushover already allows you to specify a custom icon, it just doesn't get used in the places it matters most.

And insult to injury is that even the Pushover plugin doesn't expose the custom icon you upload with the application or the sound. :-/

Hi,

I don´t understand why this is not yet implemented. How come a notification service that doesn´t allow/show the custom logo/image that helps to identify the actual sender?
