Chrome

  1. Click the padlock icon in the URL bar, then set Notifications to Allow.  If you do not see Notifications listed, you may need to click the Site Settings item to bring up all of the settings.

Safari

For devices not registered in our WebPush beta, please see our guide for re-registering macOS for notifications.

Click the Safari menu, then Settings. Click the Websites tab, then scroll the list on the left down to Notifications.

If there is an entry for client.pushover.net, make sure it's set to Allow.  If not, make sure "Allow websites to ask for permissions to send notifications" is checked.  You can uncheck it once your browser is successfully registered for notifications through Pushover, as long as the client.pushover.net entry remains set to Allow.
