Provide a webhook to pushover gateway

It would be great if Pushover users could create webhook receiver URLs bound to Pushover Channels to receive webhook payloads that can be transformed then sent to pushover notifications. A simple JSON extractor could be use to map data received in the JSON to payload variables which can be quoted in Pushover strings

You can limit the number of webhook events / hour / day etc and use paid plans to control use.

A Free plan should at least accept say 10-20 webhooks a day for example.

yes, please.  I kept looking for this because i figured it would already be a thing.

I would also love to see this and am surprised that it's not a thing already (since the original posting). A webhook receiver seems like one of the more cleaner ways of handling notifications.

The VMS software we use (Exacq) supports webhooks.  It would be a great way to utilize pushover for varying notifications occurring within our VMS platform.

This would be awesome - I pay for Pushover but I'm seeing more and more webhook integrations that Pushover would be a perfect fit for.
